"The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that our income is very low currently as we are forced to plough our farm manually without assistance of a plough hence making the preparation of our land to be slow. Getting school fees for my children is also a big problem as with our current dependency on farming, our children get sent home for fees and at times we are not able to raise the fee."

"I am planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children where one is in university, one has completed secondary school and he is waiting for his results so that he can join college and the rest who are in primary school. I will use part of the transfer on buying a peace of land so that I can build my house as Luo traditions dictates for the eldest son to build their own home and remaining amount I will use to buy a bull that I will use in ploughing my farm."

"I am planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children as one is in college doing mechanics, one is in secondary school and the other is supposed to join secondary school this February but I still don't have cash to pay. I have a child who got diagnosed with sickle cell anemia in 2007 and am still paying for his medical attention and this is a challenge as at times I don't have funds to pay for his blood transfusion so I will use this funds to pay for the bills and the remaining amount I will spend on buying a peace of land so that I can expand my area of land under farming."
