"After receiving the first transfer, we sat down with my household members and made a decision to improve all that we have been wishing to see them accomplished in our household. We started with the purchase of 29 iron sheets, some of which were for the construction of a new house belonging to our elder son, chicken coop since we had a plan to start a poultry farming, and also used the other in the construction of a kitchen. We used part of the remaining amount on the purchase of plywood which we used as a ceiling board in our house and currently we are cutting timber in preparation to renew our furniture."

"Boosting our family business of buying and selling cattle, sheep and goats using $400 of our transfer is what receiving this money means to us. I also plan to use $100 to add more chicken to my farm, spend $50 to renovate my poultry unit and the remaining part of my transfer will enable me to pay school fees for my 2 children in college next year"

"The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I now have a stable poultry farming project. The project has assisted me a lot in terms of generating income. I normally sell eggs and chicken almost every week which ensures there is good cash flow. I have also never slept hungrily. We can always decide to eat eggs or chicken whenever we feel like. The transfers also helped me acquire three healthy dairy cows."

"I had the intention of starting a greenhouse farming but when I received I received my first transfer, the money was not enough as its starting cost was high. Due to this, I settled on starting a poultry keeping project. I used a large amount to build a decent poultry house and equipped it with all the necessary items needed. I saved the remaining KES 15000 and I am intending to use it cumulatively with my second transfer to buy some chicken. I will always expand this project while saving some money that will later enable me to achieve my goal of practicing greenhouse farming. I prefer greenhouse farming since one is always assured of continuous production since it is not affected by any changes in the weather."

"My new goal is to save my next transfers to buy some chicken and sheep. This programme is almost ending and I would like to have a reliable source of income to help me meet my daily expenses. Chicken and sheep are easy to keep and requires less labour which I can easily manage with my old age. I would have some eggs for sale and this money would help me to meet my daily needs and to cushion myself in case of a financial need."

"I want to expand the poultry project I have into something profitable as I am currently not selling. This will need a proper plan on how to manage them and where to get the best market. I am planning to use most of my transfers to construct a larger pen so that I can bring in more geese and turkey. I decided to move away from chicken-rearing because they are more prone to diseases as compared to geese and turkey."

"It had always been my prayer to start a poultry keeping project for so long but I had not been able to fulfill this due to lack of money. My first transfer allowed me to achieve this since I spent part of it to buy some chicken. Also, I bought a wire mesh to use in fencing a place where I will be feeding my chicken. I used the remaining amount to buy some timber to use in building a spacious chicken coop and food for my family."

"Receiving this money will enable me to build a visitor's house since i usually have them sleep in a room where my chicken stay, which is not healthy to them due to the stingy smell of chicken wastes. This money has also come in handy at a time my beverage business is nearly colapsing hence i will be able to boost it using my GD transfers."
