Wilson
received a $40 fourteenth payment.
"I have a small poultry which I started with part of these transfers from GD. I feel it can get better since I still get money from GD. This is why I have decided to boost the poultry project with part of my monthly transfers. I will be buying chicken feeds and at least two chicken per month to boost the number I already have now."

Alice
received a $23 twenty-third payment.
"My additional goal for my life in the next four months is to expand my poultry farm. I had a small chicken coop that used to save me a lot in meeting most of my daily expenses. I believe that once I expand it, I will increase my profits which will enable me easily to meet my responsibilities. Since I have the necessary skills and tools to ensure the business prospers, I believe with time the business will pick up well"

Joyce
received a $23 twenty-third payment.
"I had initially initiated a poultry project and majorly concentrated on keeping hybrid chicken. Due to the lack of enough resources, I ended up losing the majority of them because I couldn't constantly afford to purchase the required feeds as well as vaccines. Poultry keeping is my passion and I plan to revive the project in the next four months. This time around, I will only keep local breeds because their production cost isn't higher than the other breeds."

Erick
received a $23 twenty-fourth payment.
"In the next four months, my plan is to buy four chicken a part from the tasks that I normally undertake. I made it a commitment that I will be using part of the transfer to improve my poultry keeping project after every four months. The project has been so resourceful to us as a family in that we are able to meet the cost of the basic household needs without having to worry at any one given time. The project will not only make me to be more independent financially but also an avenue for making other meaningful family investments. I currently have 30 chicken to keep and this fetches me up to KES 300 per day. My target is to have up to 50 chicken that are egg laying and I be sure to improve the living standards of my family even further."

Margaret
received a $546 initial payment.
"I spent 20,000 KES of my first transfer to invest on buying livestock such as ten goats and ten chicken . I am pleased to own livestock which before was just impossible because our income wouldn't be enough to invest in this project . I bought a bed, clothes, a mattress and fixed a steel wooden on my house. I bought food with the remaining amount."

John
received a $40 fourteenth payment.
"The biggest difference brought in my life with GD transfers is that poultry project I have now. Before I started receiving these transfers, I used to depend on casual work as my main source of income. Income from casual work of garbage collection in my area has not been enough to meet my needs. I have been struggling and life has not been very easy on me. I decided to start a business with the transfers but chose poultry because other areas such as cloth business, had been flooded in my area. I know when I finally get a good place to supply with chicken and eggs, I will be getting good money which will change my life."

Winny
received a $23 twenty-fourth payment.
"My additional goal in life is to build a bigger poultry house for my chicken. This is because the current one is becoming smaller each day due to the growing number of chicken that I own. Also, I am planning to start rearing grade chicken for egg production purposes. I settled on this since there's an increased demand for eggs in the market compared to the supply."
