"The moment I received my transfer, I thought of buying a dairy cow to cut down on the cost of buying milk daily. I work with the county council, though my income was not enough for me to be able to purchase a cow. Therefore, I used KES 35,000 in purchasing a dairy cow. I then used the remaining amount of KES 20,000 in buying salon products and items to start a salon business. I am so grateful for the milestones that I have achieved in a short time."

"During enrollment, I had a plan to get a dairy cow to add to the one had been having that would have increased milk production for my family of five. As a single mother, I had been living on my mother's piece of land and had to consider buying my own where I can put up permanent structures for my children. With the first transfer, I could make a first deposit of KES 35000 with the promise to make the second and the last payment when I receive the second transfer. I also spent KES 7500 on buying two sheep that I am currently rearing with a plan to sell them out in the future. In addition, I paid the tuition fees for my son worth KES 5000 and used the remaining amount on buying foodstuff and clothing for my family of five."

"Initially, my goal was to buy a dairy cow but I changed my mind when I found a land that was being sold at an amount that I could afford when with the transfer. This was because, I have always wanted to buy land but I couldn't afford to raise enough capital by myself. I bought the land and my new goal now is to buy a dairy cow."

"Right after collecting the money from the nearby shopping center on the same day that I received it, I spent KES 5000 on obtaining spare parts I used in fixing a maize-milling machine that had broken down three months ago. I am glad that it is now working and generating income that has been serving my family of eight with sufficient foodstuff. I also spent KES 30000 on buying a dairy heifer to add to the other dairy cow belonging to a friend. The two might increase the production of milk soon, which will not only be useful for household usage but also surplus for sale. In addition, I spent KES 9200 on foodstuff and topped up the remaining with my savings, and that enhanced the purchase of a new motorcycle that my son is currently using. I am grateful for the great strides we have taken and hopeful that the second transfer will still do a lot."

"At the moment, I have five dairy animals in my field, three lactating cows, and two heifers. Feeding them has been so hard during the dry season that we grew more feeds after receiving the first transfer. With KES 5000, I got sugarcane and Nappier grass cuttings and paid for the labor that worked on the planting. I also injected KES 15000 into the business that we had been running with my spouse. Even though it was slowly getting weaker, I am glad that it is now working well and promising with the increased clients we had been receiving. In addition, I spent KES 10000 of the remaining amount on clearing the semester's tuition fees for my daughter and used the remaining amount on obtaining household goods, including foodstuff and new pairs of clothes for my family of five. We are all happy and looking forward to the second transfer that will boost other ongoing projects."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the improved dairy shed that was getting older and allowing rainwater in through the holes on the rusted iron sheets. Milking the cows at the moment is easy even when raining since we have fixed the roof with new iron sheets."

"I used the transfers to buy a bed, mattress and to replace the beddings as the ones I had were torn. I used Kshs 20,000. These days I sleep so comfortable. I used Kshs 20,000 to buy two cows, I do subsistence farming for a living, before the transfers I used to do it manually as I never had enough money to hire casual labor. With the cows on board, farming is easier, as I can cultivate a larger piece of land within shortest time possible. I used Kshs 15,000 to pay school fees and to clear the balance of the previous terms. Before the transfers, my son used to be out of the classroom mostly and this affected his performance. I am looking forward to better grades since I managed to clear this terms school fees."

"I am a widow, and for the longest time, I have been sleeping on the floor as my bed is broken. I had developed backache problem since sleeping on the floor was not comfortable. My beddings were also torn and old as I had been using them for so long. I used part of the transfers of Kshs 20,000 to buy a bed, mattress and beddings. Since then I have been having sound sleep like a little baby. I also bought a cow, for remembrance ,and to sell in the future should any emergency arise.I bought two of them worth Kshs 20,000 I never had a separate kitchen, I used Kshs 15,000 to build a kitchen. The main house is now in order since I built a kitchen."
