"Lack of a reliable source of income that can support the needs of my family has been my biggest hardship.I purely depends on motorcyclist transportation but alone can not fully sustain the needs of my family. On a good day I can earn 500 shillings and this is hardly enough to cater for my family's basic needs, like food and clothing. I am happy to learn that soon I will be owning a business that will supplement this income once I receive give directly transfer."

"I have a desire to build a big spacious house that can accommodate my entire family plus visitors in case they visit. I feel like my current house is getting smaller by the day since my daughters are now at puberty stage. In our culture, it is wrong to sleep under the same roof with grown children and I feel they should have their own separate room away from us parents. I plan to put up a house made up of 40 pieces of iron sheets each costing 700 shillings. I also intend to purchase 120 pieces of roofing frames at a cost of 300 shillings each. Receiving this money will mean so much to me as it will enable me to achieve my desire."

"The biggest hardship in my life has been lack of funds specifically funds to finance my education. My schooling was faced with many challenges such that I couldn't manage to proceed past class eight and the only thing my parents could recommend was I get married so that they can use the dowry to supplement the family of 7 with basic needs especially food."

"When I receive this money, I will start by venturing into business.I will start a motorcycle spare parts shop with 50,000 Kenya shillings.Motorcycles are the main means of transport in this area and this is what made me think of this business. I will also use 40,000 Kenya shillings to buy 2 cows. This will provide my family with milk for consumption and for sale."

"Financial instability is my biggest hardship. This is because I depend mostly on subsistence farming and I do not have any other source. The only hope is my son who operates a motorcycle taxi in Mombasa and the much he sends is 500 shillings a month. This has resulted to a struggle in provision of basic needs."
