"Being a motorcycle rider, I spend most of my day manouvering along the roads in search of potential customers to carry. My happiest part of the day is in the evening when I have a productive day meaning I have enough money from the customers to use it to fend for my family."

"In the year 2018, my husband and I bought a motorcycle on credit from one of the leading suppliers in Bomet town. We deposited 20000 shillings and agreed that we will be paying a daily installment of 350 shillings for 1 year. We diligently serviced our loan for 8 good months before we started defaulting because of a financial crisis that we never foresaw. Things started getting worse by the day and it became impossible to continue servicing our loan. The supplier made numerous reminders until they finally came for their motorbike. The ordeal left us devastated not knowing what to do until we ultimately decided to let go."

"Seeing the day off safely and with good health always brings joy to me. The jobs I do sometimes are very risky. Riding motorcycles and sometimes working in the bushes always poses a risk to my health. Evening is therefore the happiest part of my day when I get home well."

"Getting water for domestic use has been an uphill task for me. I have a younger family, zero grazed cattle and chicken that needs water on a regular basis. The distance to the water point is very far and to be able to fetch water, I usually hire a motorcycle or donkey to transport it for me. This is so expensive in the long run since I have to like fetch water on a daily basis."

"Receiving this money means that I will be able to buy a water tank and buy sheep. I intend to use 200USD to buy a 3000 litres capacity water tank to store rainfall water for my family to use. Currently, I usually fetch water on a daily basis from a very far place for domestic use. Additionally, I will buy four sheep at a cost of 300USD so that I can keep them and as they multiply, sell them and cater for the basic needs of my family in seasons to come. For the remaining amount from my transfer, I will use it to upgrade my current motorcycle so that it can aid me in my line of work. I usually have a tent and chairs that I rent and transport to people when they have functions."

"I am a motorbike taxi driver since 2015, this job has been sustaining my family to date. Currently, the motorbike I own have been using is having mechanical problems. I am planning to spend $ 150 in repairing my motorbike. I will invest the remaining amount in my children by purchasing 7 high-breed goats at 50 dollars each. This will be my long-term investment as I will be able to sell them when they reproduce to educate them. This is what receiving this money means to me."

"I have been ailing from High blood pressure and knee arthritis for the last 4 years, a condition that require alot of money to manage, in terms of eating nutritious foods such as milk, green vegetables and fruits. Medicines prescribed by my doctor are also costly yet I depend on my son who operates motorcycle taxi to fend for his family as well as mine. This is the most challenging phrase of my life."

"I have been hired by one of my neighbours to operate motorcycle taxi, transporting clients and goods to various destinations. I usually split my daily earnings (of about $10-$8) with my boss. Receiving this money therefore will enable me to acquire a second hand motorcycle at a cost of $550 that I will be operating on my own and keep all my earnings myself."
