"I spent 200USD of my transfer on building a new Iron roofed modern kitchen which everyone is admiring it.This because the one I had, was old, worn out, had leaking grass thatched roof and the walls had fallen off and apart and could fall on us anyhowly and my kids were scared. Because of my security, I had to shift to my single room house which served like a kitchen and bedroom at the same time. I also 80USD on ten chicken layers because it's as a quick source of income to feed my family. I spent 40USD on purchase of latest clothes fashions because initially I would rely on second hand clothes for occasions. I also spent 40USD on a tractor for hire and four packets of maize seeds because initially it was hard to even get money to plough leave alone buying maize seeds.Before, I would depend on my maize meal , and vegetables business and merry go round monthly contribution in order to buy food, and farm inputs one by one until the required amount is attained."

"I normally work as a motorcycle taxi as a casual worker. When I received the transfers I took a motorcycle loan with a down payment of 300 USD from the transfers and repayment of 17.2USD per week. I prefer my own bodaboda because initially I used to work for people who micromanaged me and would fire me up abruptly. Right now, I am flexible because I have my own motorcycle. I also spent 34USD on10 chicken layers because they are a quick source of income. 55USD was spent on two sofa set seats and my house can now accommodate 10 people in one sitting.
