"I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in 2013, who happens to be my last born. For all the previous deliveries, all has been well. However, for my daughter, it has been a different story. I had a prolonged labour pain, got induced to no vain. The doctors said it's a false labour and even allowed me to return home. No sooner had I boarded a motorcycle than I break the water. I had to be helped by the nurses and by the time I was delivering, my daughter had sniffed much of the smell from the green water. My daughter was taken to a baby care and was finally diagnosed with meconium. Up-to-date, she still suffers the same problem. Being jobless with my husband, I cannot afford to take her for further medical tests and treatment. My daughter's suffering has been the biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life."

"I have been employed as a motorcycle rider and on my daily income I have to pay the owner before spending for myself, this always makes me to even remain with nothing to sustain myself. Receiving this money means I will buy mine be able to work for myself. Besides this I have a dream to be a poultry farmer since I will be using my motorbike to transport eggs and also when carrying feeds.
I intend to use 500 dollars to buy a second hand motorcycle and spend another 500 dollars to start the project."

I feel very disturb seeing my children at home and I don't have anything to do. When I receive this money ksh 60,000 will go to school fees and the remaining I will build a house for the children since we are still under one roof."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in life has been financial constraints. I retired a few years a go and my wife is a stay at home mother. We now depend on subsistence farming and motorcycle business. I only earn about $40 per day from the motorcycle and that is not enough to Carter for our basic needs such as buying a water tank or paying school fees."

"The biggest difference is that I now own my motorcycle meaning that I have a reliable source of income unlike before where I had to divide my profit by paying back the cost of renting a bike daily, a time I would be left with little or worse nothing because of the cost of fuel that had risen. I am so grateful that The organisation has changed my life for a better one."

"My ambition is to own a motorcycle. I used to ride someone elses motorcycle for one year but for the last 4 months i stopped because it had mechanical problems.i now do casual jobs to sustain my family needs which is not enough as it is on and off and earns only $2 in a day. Also my 2 children are still young and they do not get enough milk for consumption.Purchasing a second hand motorcycle with $700 would be so helpful because i will earn a living from it.Then i would buy 2 dairy cows at 200$ each which would mean enough milk for my children."

"I got married a 1 year later after completing my standard 8 exam, because my parents could not support me to continue with my studies due to lack of money. Being in a marriage as housewife is something that I never imagined before and I have always admired to do a tailoring course in order to have a stable source of income. Receiving this money therefore, will mean a better future to me since I intend to spend utmost $480 to cater to the training fees as well as purchasing the sewing machine. With the remaining amount, it will help me to construct a decent house because the one I have is small and grass-thatched. This will change my livelihood to the better, a transformation that I have wished for a long time."
