Hussein
received a $24 twenty-second payment.
"Currently, I work as a motorcycle rider, which enables me to make ends meet, save easily, and work towards achieving my dream. My biggest goal is to start my own goat farm. I firmly believe that the more goats I buy, the more they will give birth, allowing me to easily sell them and make a huge profit in the future. With this profit, I plan to provide the best life for my two sisters and educate them."

Vincent
received a $288 second payment.
"On receiving $450 from GiveDirectly, our biggest challenge at home has been water. The nearest clean water source is over 3 kilometers away. So, I decided to invest $350 in buying a water tank. Now, we can store water for drinking and other needs. With clean water easily available, life has become much easier for me, my wife, and our child.
I used $70 to extend our house. This extra room provides more space and comfort for our family. Now, we have a cozy home where we can live comfortably. Thanks to GiveDirectly, we've been able to address our most pressing needs and improve our living conditions."

"A sigh of relief is what the presence of Givedirectly has been in our life as a family. am a father of six with 5 school going children. I make my living by providing motorcycle rides while my wife has a grocery stall next to home from where she makes an income. My oldest is 15 and finished her primary school education as 2022 ended. We had left some debt in the school which was due to financial strains were were going through and we could only get her results to ensure she joined secondary is we cleared that debt. I paid $20 to clear that debt and once it was settled I was able to think about taking her to school in January. I bought some of the school provisions such as shoes and a bag at $14 in November to ensure she had some essentials as she went to school in January. My wife and I combined our transfers and paid $50 for the child to start her form one as the year began. In December all my children wanted clothes for the holidays, we again combine our entire transfers with my wife and bought clothes for all the sic children."

Hussein
received a $22 eighteenth payment.
"I am a trained Early childhood educator, I have a certificate in this training and this certificate is allowing me to get a job as a teacher. I had wanted to advance my training and get a diploma. I enrolled and have been attending school but the money for the training has been high hence has forced me to take out loans. I took out a loan of $80 which I have been paying using my transfers. In November I paid $20, in December I paid $30 and in January I paid $20. I now only have $10 left unpaid. The rest of the cash in November went into buying food at $12 and fueling my motorcycle at $2. In December I paid my debts owed the solar company that installed my home solar system at $2 and fueled my motorcycle at an equal amount. In January I mended my children's uniform at $5, I bought them books at $3.7 and paid for the solar debt again at $3 and finally fueled my motorcycle at $2."

Cornelius
received a $277 third payment.
"With the recent $450 I received from GiveDirectly, I made choices that aimed at securing a better future for my family. I allocated $200 towards the school fees of my two kids, one in PP1 and the other in Grade 2. I strongly believe that providing them with a good education foundation is crucial for their future success.
Recognizing the local economic opportunities, I spent another $200 to purchase four bee hives. Beekeeping is a thriving activity in our area, and I anticipate that the income from the harvest will be substantial. I plan to use this money to improve and expand our small house, making it more comfortable for my family.
These decisions, focused on education and economic development, reflect my commitment to securing a brighter future for my children and enhancing our living conditions."
