"Building a two roomed iron sheet roofed house for my two sons who are now teenagers is my first priority upon receiving this money. According to our culture my sons should not sleep under the same roof with parents at their age, something that has forced them to be hosted at night by their friends who live 1km away thus this has been an inconvenience to them. I also plan to use part of my transfer to boost my grocery business by building a stall and signing up more tenders of supplying more vegetables in schools around. I will then invest in buying a calf as part of my savings to sell later for school fees purpose."

"Receiving this money means i will be able to clear 280 USD next semester's fee arrears for my son who recently joined the university. I also have two other sons in secondary school hence i will be able to clear their next term's school fees with ease. The remaining part of my transfer (200 USD) will go to building them a house since at their teenage age, culture has it that they are not supposed to be sleeping under one roof with parents but we have had to let them sleep in the living room since we got no other option."

"My biggest hardship is insufficient finances to provide for our needs such as food and education. After my daughter got married, she left me with her son who was born out of wedlock whom I have been raising ever since. Back then, I was still active and would do casual jobs at construction sites so I could feed and pay his school fees. As years went by, I grew older and weaker and could not work any longer. Unfortunately, he had to drop out of school because I couldn't support him anymore. He now sits around idle with young men his age and am scared he might go into bad behavior if he does not find something meaningful to engage in."

"Currently, my life is different from how it was because my life has transformed. I can take care of my needs easily unlike before. I have also managed to reach some goals like buying seats which always seemed impossible to own. I have also been able to pay school fees with ease. My children have not been sent home lately due to fee arrears unlike before where they could stay longer as I look for casual jobs to pay their school fees."

Judith
received a $22 nineteenth payment.
"My new goal for the next four months is to save as much as possible for my children's education since I expect to settle arrears for next year's first term academic year. Then, I expect a lot of emotional peace having enough money to pay school fees for my children through the savings that I am planning to start making for the transfers. This will give me time to focus my time on other projects for my household development."
