"Finding food for me and me, my son and my three grandchildren is a serious challenge for me. The little business I'm doing is where we take money from for food and Cater for ourselves. My son is currently jobless so I had to take my three grandchildren to live with me until he can find himself a job. Our means of survival is on the little business I'm doing." "When I receive the money, I'll will use it to build a house, currently I'm living in this shop and my children sleep at their grandmothers house because we all can't fit in this room. So I'd want to have a house big enough to have my children sleep there. I will also use this money to start a business so that I never have to worry about food and other basic needs." "This money means freedom to concentrate on farming than ever before. This is so as I usually fail to harvest enough food as most of the effort goes towards doing casual labour to earn an income. Since I am living alone at the time being,it means not much effort is left to focus on farming which leaves crops unattended. In the end, I usually harvest a little . My husband rarely sends money home ever since he went to South Africa. This leaves me with a huge responsibility to take care of the children. I engage in small business of selling vegetables which I order for MWK2000 (Malawi Kwacha) and sell for a profit of MWK1000. This is enough to use for at least five days when I have maize flour available. I believe the money will ease most of the problems I face. I will make sure I buy enough food for the children, pay school fees as well seek new opportunities of starting another good business. In this way, I will no longer be looking forward to my husband for assistance which rarely comes. I even believe he found another wife and has children now." (Occupation: Small business)
