"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now able to meet my daily needs with less difficulty. Before I had to really overwork myself in order to meet some of these needs and still, I sometimes couldn't meet them. I am also able to meet my children's school fees and they are no longer sent home as frequently as before."

"Currently, my life is different from how it was in that I have been able to take care of my needs easily. The best part is being able to boost my business and pay school fees for my children every time I get the transfer. I used to depend so much on my husband when the sales were low but this could not help much since he could go without a job as times because he is a casual laborer whose job is unreliable."

"It had been three years of struggling to pay school fees for my children and leaving my house incomplete. I had decided to prioritize my children's education since I knew that if they get a quality education, they would one day help me in completing this house if not building a new one for me. When I received my transfer, I was able to use it to finish the construction process. Even though I have not fixed doors for the rooms inside, window glasses and tiles, I am now happy since I believe that I will be living in this house soon. My joy is now complete since my children are doing well in school and I am almost completing building this house. Being able to continue with the construction work without failing to pay my children's school fees is the biggest difference in my daily life."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have bought a heifer. I buy milk from my neighbors and its very costly for me. I depend on the casual jobs in the village to earn an income to meet the basic need of my family. At times when there are no causal jobs it very hard for me to get the money. I do also pay school fees for my children through these manual jobs. Saving money to buy a cow was not easy because of the recurrent expenditure. When I received the money I felt so happy because this was the only chance for me to buy a cow. Currently, I have bought a heifer and this has given me hope. When it reproduces I will be in a position to get enough milk for my family and cut the cost of buying milk. I will also be in a position to sell the surplus to earn an income to pay school fees for my children and even meet other basic needs of the family. I am so much grateful for the support because it has changed my living standard."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now happier than before. This is because I was able to clear paying school fees arrears for my children who had been sent back home without much struggle. As a result of this, I have been able to save some money from my business. I am intending to use these savings to pay school fees for my children next year. This will enable them to have enough time for their studies and this will enable them to improve on their performance."

"My expectation in the near future is to have an additional dairy cow. Since we mostly depend on milk proceeds after the main sash crop failed us in our locality, I want to utilize this by buying one additional cow to what I currently have. Having these cows means I will have a good income from the sale of milk and it will enable me to meet my family's daily needs and save some for my children's school fees who will soon join secondary school."

"Having expanded my retail shop has made my life to be very different. This was my major source of income since my spouse is old, this was the business we were depending on. It reached a time when we consumed the profits due to the poverty life that we lived in. We were forced to take some loans so that we can boost the business. Finally, we had to close down the kiosk because we were running into debts. I am so thankful to GD for the financial support because I never expected anytime soon the business will start again. My business is now doing okay since there is enough stock and capital as well. From the profit that I am getting, I am now able to pay school fees for my child and cater for other basic needs for my family."

"The biggest difference in my daily life since Give Directly came into my life is that I am now hopeful. The financial support enabled me to buy a few goats. I am hopeful they will make me wealthier within a short period of time considering they reproduce twice a year and the high market demand in my village. The goats will be of great help to me in many ways such as paying school fees for my children. To add on this, when they multiply and mature I will sell some of the offspring to the local and start a business. I am hopeful that I will no longer strain in meeting my family's needs,"
