"I am currently seven months pregnant, this pregnancy has had its fair share of challenges. I have visited the hospital this past seven months so many times due to fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, headaches and fatigue.
The doctors keep saying it is just a flu infection and it is because I am pregnant. This has made me not enjoy this journey and I look forward to the day I will deliver my baby."

"Joblessness still remains my biggest challenge as I do not have any economic involvement at the moment. My husband is a motorcycle taxi rider and he gets only avarage of 300 after paying bike owner leaving us with very little to depend on. I would like to also start a business to be able to generate income to supplement."

"As a means of getting disposable income for our household use . We had taken a loan at Imarisha Sacco to buy a motorcycle for commercial purposes. We are repaying the loan every month, it is a tall order for us. We hardly get the peace of mind. whatever we generate goes towards settlement of the outstanding amount which stand ak KES 50000 at the moment. We are rarely left with any, other times when we delay in repayment we get threats of the motorcycle being repossessed because it is a security for the loan. Receiving this money therefore, means we will be able to settle all the outstanding loan of KES 50000 and use the remaining amount to buy a dairy cow."

"Receiving this money means a spacious house for my family. This is because I am sharing a one-roomed house with my two children which does not offer me privacy. I am planning to spend KES 40,000 to construct a bigger house of two rooms and buy three beds and mattresses. I will use a portion of the remaining amount to pay a deposit of a motorcycle for my husband. This will enable him to have an income-generating activity. He will save the earnings for future use."

"It was around 11 a.m. when I received a message that confirmed the receipt of my first transfer. With my husband in a small food joint that I had been running, we couldn't hold our joy but celebrated openly with the belief that everyone around knew and had the same experience when they received the same message too. We had all plans in place and could not wait but withdrew the money around 4 p.m. with the fear of the Mpesa shops filling up on the following day. We took this step of collecting the transfer since we needed to spend on all that we had planned for the next day."

"Receiving this money means improved business and increased savings. I do milk vending in the neighboring town called Kaboson. I collect milk around my village and even neighboring villages. I then transport using hired motorcycle where I pay KES 500 per day. This has been expensive to me and sometimes eats into my profit. I collect around 200 liters of milk per day. My profit is KES 10 per liter. This profit also has to cater for transportation. So when I get this transfer I will spend it on purchasing a motorcycle. This will help me reduce the transportation fee. I will spend the entire transfer of KES 110000 to purchase it."
