"For more than ten (10) years now, my husband and I have been living in his brother's house because we don't have the capacity now to build our own place. Living in his place sometimes causes embarrassment for us. We are not free to do certain things. Our activities within the house is limited. My husband carve canoe and sells it to enable him to buy food for the family. He has been carving canoes for more than ten years. Doing such a job for living endangers his life because he has to be in the forest throughout. Besides, I also buy fish to sell before earning money to buy food. If my household qualifies for GD unconditional cash transfer program, I intend to use the money to start a business to support my husband in the home. I have a plan to start a business by buying fish in large quantities and take it to Monrovia to sell. My husband and I also have a plan to build our own place to leave his brother's house." "I live in another person's house and would love to build a new house for my family because I want to be free to do whatever I want to do in my house. Although they are not treating me bad but having my own place will make me feel better. So when I receive this transfer, I will like to build my own house. The next thing I want to do is to do business. I was doing business before but got sick. In my right leg, I used to feel pain in it. I used the money to treat herself and my business broke down. If the money is that much, if possible, I will build a small shop where I will be selling my market and keep supporting my children in school."
