"In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in giving us the transfer to eradicate poverty. Our lives have greatly changed. We now have livestock as assets and also we've been able to pay for our children's school fees. I don't see anything that GiveDirectly doesn't do well."

"I spent a larger portion of my second transfer on buying a heifer and an ox. Having these livestock to me is a saving and a financial security. I can readily lean on them in case of a financial problem. In addition to this, I also spent part of the money on paying my children's school fees for them to be allowed to continue with their studies. I also took a portion of the money to buy foodstuffs and meeting other basic needs."

"The biggest difference in my life is the school fees which I paid for my children. None of them was sent home after I cleared their school fees. As a parent I would be so stressed whenever my children were sent home to collect school fees. Give Directly enabled me to do so and I thank the organization for implementing such a project in our village."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the purchase of a cow. This to me brought a great change in our household and everyone currently feels good that we have enough milk for use. We used to buy milk from the neighbourhood which could cost us a lot of money every month. We are glad that currently, we are having sufficient milk and also able to sale the surplus which in turn facilitate the purchase of other household goods and also in paying school fees for my children."

"My biggest desire is to acquire tailoring skills. I dropped out of school in class 6 and all the efforts to further my education went futile due to lack of school fees. This subsequently led to early marriage at the age of 19, and 3 years into marriage, Life has not been easy. The house we have been living in, for instance, is in a deplorable condition. Its roof is leaking and every time it rains, we are forced to seek alternative shelter from relatives. Therefore, I intend to build a more spacious and secure house. Additionally, I will enroll in a tailoring course and use the remaining money to purchase a sewing machine to help in actualizing the dream --and that is what receiving this money means to me."

"The biggest difference in my daily life preceding the current transfer is that I paid school fees for my children in various schools and the were able to sit their exams. I depend on the causal jobs in the village and the amount of money that I get is so small and can not meet all the basic needs and school fees at the same time. My children were sent home to collect the school fees and this affected their performance in that they could stay at home for a longer time before getting the money. I also do small scale farming but the harvest is so small and is only enough for consumption. I'm so happy because my children are studying well and school and their performance has really improved .I have devoted much of my time to work on my farm. I have enough food and I sell the surplus to earn an income."

"I do not have any new or additional goal for the next four months except to be able to continue accumulating enough money and pay school fees for my children. By so doing, I am optimistic that they will achieve the best results and they will be a great resource to me in future once they have completed their education and gotten jobs."
