"The biggest difference in my daily life after receiving the first transfer is the instant clearance of school fees for all my children. Waking up every morning to see my children confidently get ready to leave for school had been motivating as I get enough time to concentrate on other projects currently unlike in the previous months when they could frequently be sent home to collect their school fees."

"Having a large family of six has been quite challenging meeting the financial obligations of every household member. All the four children are currently in school with the elder one taking a course in driving and mechanics, while the other three are still in secondary school. On receiving the first transfer, I decided to pay KES18000 for the elder son pursuing a driving course and also KES6000 for the other son in secondary school. I am glad that they are currently enjoying ample reading time without being sent home to collect their school fees like in the previous months. With the remaining amount, I added the foodstuff worth KES5000 to our store that will keep us going as we work hard to obtain more from the farm. I also dedicated KES10000 to seeking medical attention as I had been unwell and frequently visiting various hospitals for quite some time. I managed to get an X-ray examination and obtained medication that is so far allowed me to resume my casual chores and drastically reduced the visits to the hospital. Because all the children are actively studying and will always require school fees, I invested the remaining KES9000 on two goats that I am currently keeping in my field. The two will later be of great help in case of an emergency or any difficulty in raising full school fees for my sons."

"After the death of my husband and my son, I was frustrated but when I started going to church for the last (6) months, I began to overcome every situation in my life and by the help of God I'm moving strong and all my children are healthy, although is not easy. At my church, due to my present condition, someone voluntarily agreed to sponsor my grandson in the senior class. Knowing that someone will be paying his school fees for his final year, it has brought me so much joy."

"A surprise relief of my kids' school fees. This actually brought great joy and happiness to me because, some of my kids are in higher classes with in the secondary school and some needed to sit for their six period and exam. I would have been blamed if they haven't taken their exams saying, mama, you have disappointed us. You have failed to pay our fees and now we were not able to complete our academic year."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I am living a comfortable life after purchasing proper beddings. Previously, I used to sleep on uncomfortable beddings that leave with body aches which affected my productivity at work. Furthermore, I was able to support my child's education by clear all his school fees."

"My aim is to finish up constructing the kitchen house. I am not yet done with the ground and I still require some money to be able to complete it. Other financial needs had to override its completion. The floor is dusty and not conducive to serve as a kitchen. Cleaning is also a big challenge. I will use approximately Kes 10000. The rest of the money will be used to pay for the school fees for my children who are in various schools."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that the cash transfers empowered me to build a permanent house. The previous one was in a critical l condition and very small in such a way that some of my family members (9) had to seek shelter elsewhere. My spouse has been depending on some odd jobs with very low income which in a good day, he could earn KES 500 which was too little for the basic household needs like, food, clothing, shelter, school fees, and medical expenses. Therefore this man's building a permanent house using my own money would take years. It is now a relief because I finally accomplished my dream. We are sleeping comfortably in a better shelter with all my children without having to worry about all sorts of stress that we underwent during those days. In addition to that this has even made my children improve on heor performance because they have ample space to study on their own at night which is very encouraging and motivating."

"Growing up,I have always been interested in fashion and design. This made me undertake a tailoring course at a local polytechnic.Unfortunately due to lack of school fees I dropped out and did not finish two modules.I am planning to go back to school for module 2 and 3.This will help me improve my skills and reopen up a better business.Getting this money will mean a lot to me and my family as we will use the first transfer to pay for my polytechnic school-fees of KES 10,000 and purchase a new sewing machine at KES 30,000.The last transfer will spend in buying 2 dairy cows at KES 25,000 from which I will have a reliable source of income when it starts producing 7litres of milk which I can sell at the local shopping center at KES 30 per litre."
