"To support my daughter's education as a single mother, I have been considering the most feasible venture I can start. I have set a goal to buy and raise two cows and seven goats by the end of 2024 from monthly transfers. I am confident that if I am successful in that venture, I will be able to sell both cows and goats to generate additional income because they are valuable and have a ready market. As a result, it will not be as difficult for me to support my daughter's education as it was before I started getting my transfers. I will be able to supplement our diet with free milk from cows apart from selling the cows to raise money."

"I dropped out of school at the primary level and got married at an early age because my parents could not afford to pay for my school fees. I do not want my children to go through the same and therefore receiving the transfers means quality education for them. My firstborn is joining the secondary school this month, and I am happy because the transfers will facilitate his school fees for the next two terms. He will be able to study on a full-time basis without worrying about being sent home to collect school fees. This will help him concentrate on his studies and attain good grades in the future he will pursue his dream career in law. The great of the transfer I will use to purchase a dairy cow for sustainable milk production which can supplement our income. I am grateful as the transfers will change our lives to a better one."

"We are a young family struggling to make ends meet. This transfers will boost us a great deal in establishing a livelihood that will better our lives. We have always wanted to start dairy farming but it has just remained to be a dream because of lack of finance. We do not have milk and we are forced to buy a little for our family, just a cup at $ 0.3 for preparing morning tea. We intend to purchase a dairy cow so as to be able to produce milk for household consumption and sell the surplus to earn a disposable income. We intend to use $ 350 to purchase the cow and use the rest to build another house."

"The first installment we plan to buy a land that we are currently renting, we have started paying some small amount and this money will help us pay the land in full , the balance that we will pay for the land is $180 . And we also plan to renovate our house and clean on the inside , we will buy some furnitures, beds , matress , clothes and food to eat. The second installment we plan to buy a cow for $300 to give us fertiliser to use in our land and the balance we plan to save it and use it for our future. Receiving this money is push up to our development, and this is a life opportunity because it will help us have a brighter future and we will have a good standard of living and help others that are in the same situation as we are now."

"It was all a smile to us when we heard about the arrival of GiveDirectly in our village. The happiness was a result of having the hope of realizing my dreams with the help of the transfers. With this money, I intend to spend $400 to ensure I complete my house which is at its superstructure level. This will guarantee us an opportunity to live in a decent house as compared to the one we currently occupy, which is temporarily made. The remaining amount ($700) will help me to buy 5 indigenous cows to add to my stock. This will act as my long-term project to support my family in the future. Thus, this is generally what receiving this money means to me."

"The most significant difference is that I was able to comfortably pay my son's college tuition; knowing that he can focus on his studies gives me peace of mind. Second, I was able to purchase a cow, which was previously impossible due to financial constraints. I will be eternally grateful to our donors for their wonderful gesture."

"My aim is to set aside some cash each month and purchase two breeding cows by the end of the year. They grow more quickly, and after a year I may sell some of them to make money to buy more, as well as utilize some of the proceeds to help pay for the building supplies needed to build a house for my kids. Since our house just has one room, there isn't enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. They presently sleep at my neighbor's house, but I don't feel comfortable with the situation because I can't keep an eye on them when they are far away. Additionally, it is dangerous for them to walk at night."

"Two female goats and paying school fees were two of my immediate expenditures as soon as I received transfers from GiveDirectly. I further added a female cow to further my cause of populating a herd that I can use to generate more income. While still fulfilling my financial dreams, I purposed to buy myself a mattress and a bed. Both items that I had always wanted to get,but never had the disposable income to allow me to. With my husband having passed away 5 years ago, I was left as the sole parent of 6 children. My 4 eldest are married with kids, while 5th is still single and my last born is in Grade 6 at Kagombani Primary School. I don't work, so I currently look after my flock of 30 goats and 1 cow (without adding those I purchased). Were it not for GiveDirectly, I would never have been able to achieve all I had, cater for the advance on my child's tuition, and be left with some savings."

"I would want nothing more than to own two cows for milk. Along with that, I've always had a dream of owning my own mini-mart, selling daily-used commodities like soap, flour, cooking oil, etc. All these efforts should summate to me and my family having greater financial stability and resulting in a better life."

"We have a lot of plans lined up for us once we receive transfers from GiveFirectly. On top of our priority list is buying at least one dairy cow and a piece of land that can allow us take care of the dairy cow. Once it starts producing milk then we will be able to use the money that we get from it to make ends meet by meeting the needs of our family. Our bigger goal as a couple is to later advance our studies by joining colleges of our choice. This shall be one of the greatest achievements in my life. I will always be indebted to GiveFirectly if I get the transfers as promised. It will surely be a life changing moment for me and my family."
