"I have a family of three members. My husband is aged and he can not work anymore and I have healthy issues that hinders me from working. Ingot accident last year 2022 and had a fracture on my left and. This has made me helpless and unable to work. I still feel a lot of pain on the hand. I rely on my son who works at Mombasa as a casual laborer. He gives me $10 per month which caters for food only and it is not even enough. I take one meal per day and sometimes go without food. I will use $700 to buy two cows and two goats as an investment. Our climate is favourable for livestock keeping. This will help me infuture incase I do not have food. I will also use $300 to buy food. I need to take three meals per day so as to improve my healthy and that of my husband."

"My main goal is to acquire the whole piece of land where I currently reside. So far I have managed to pay half the required amount, and with the remaining balance, I want to continue buying livestock (goats) and later trade them for cows, then after 5 years, I would sell the cows to help me settle the remaining balance of KES.100.000."

"Prior to leaving my previous residence in 2011, I was farming on a 5-acre plot of land with 240 goats and 30 cows, all of which were raided and stolen by livestock rustlers from the neighboring community. I moved to a new home, fearing for my life, and am now living on my uncle's land. Since security in the area has been increased, I hope to begin preparing the five-acre plot of land for the plantation once the rain begins. I would also like to build a structure where I can live during land preparation, crop management, and harvesting when the crops are ready."

"Oh! Am so excited to be a beneficiary of this money. First and foremost, we are planning on constructing a bigger house where we can all comfortably stay in. We are planning on constructing a house of five rooms with about 35 red iron sheets. We shall use $250 for the ironsheets as each is at $8.3 and the other $250 for the Poles, labour and the other materials like adding some cement. This will ensure that our children grow up in a safer space with some privacy for both the boys and the girls since they are currently sharing a room.
We are also planning on buying another cow to avail us with more milk. We shall use about $416 in the purchase of a good heifer. This will ensure that we have more milk that we can put on sale and earn more money that can help sustain the family.
Furthermore, we are planning on purchasing a small plot of land in Bukewa which is a bit flat and very fertile. This will cost us about $1,111 and we shall mostly carry out agriculture from this plot of land. This area requires less fertilisers and gives more output."
