"The biggest difference in my daily life is the peace and happiness I have because I own livestock. With the livestock, I believe I won't be spending money on milk because after the cows have given birth I'll be able to get enough milk for family consumption. In addition to that, I consider the livestock to be an asset because in the future I can sell the calf in order to raise money for meeting other family needs."

"I spent my first transfers to purchase a cow. I hope that in two years time, my cow will have matured and I can sell it at a better price. Secondly, I spent my transfers to buy a DVD machine for my video shop. I own a video shop in my town where clients pay to watch movies. The DVD machine in the shop broke down and I received the transfers just in time to replace it. Finally, I spent the remaining of the transfers to open up a shop in my village in Kadziweni where I live. I opened up a shop that stocks commodities like flour, sugar and soap. In my village, shops are located at far distances. I saw this as an opportunity to bring these commodities closer to the people in my village, as I also make an income out of it."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that apart from the different casual works I usually do, I now have an alternative source of income which is selling milk that I will be getting from my cow. "I spent my transfer on buying two cows, I plan to use the cows for mowing my land and I can also use them to tilting other people's land as I get to earn some money from it. We are about to enter the farming season and I see that I will be able to earn a lot from this as many people need this type of skill. The other amount I decided to buy some goats. I am have started a business where I buy the goats at a certain amount and resell them at a higher price to anyone who needs them. I plan on expanding this business by buying more goats but, I am now waiting for the second transfer so that I can go on smoothly with this business. The income I get from all this I will use it to feed my family and take my children to school, I have six of them and I want them to be educated."

"I used my initial GD's transfers to expand my tea plantation to attract more income from the sale of tea leaves. Accordingly, I have started reaping from the project following the increase in my monthly income. As a result, my family enjoys a higher standard of living because we can afford more food of higher quality. Moreover, I am currently spending much of my time doing my own activities including crop and tea farming as well as taking care of my cow. Hence, the time that I could otherwise spend doing casual works in my neighborhood has been converted to be used in my farm."
