How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because I'm yet to sleep in permanent house which is specious enough for my family. Before, the permanent house I had was very small in that I could take some of the household goods for my mother to keep.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has supported me financially to build my permanent house. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.

I purchased building materials (iron sheet, nails, timber, cement,ventilators) worth UGX 1500,000, food worth UGX 70,000 and there is a balance

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am now a happy person free of stress and my health has as well improved. I am now in the process of building a permanent house that will bring an end the stress of looking for grass for thatching year in, year out.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first cash transfer, I felt happy because, my dream of building a permanent house had been fulfilled.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,500,000 for making bricks for construction of a permanent house and the balance of UGX 200,000, I have spent on paying medical bills.

When i receive this money, we shall expand our house to accommodate all of us and our children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is afternoon after my wife has cooked. This puts us together as a family to share a meal.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is too much debts. This is because i don't have a reliable source of income.
