What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third to buy iron sheets and steel door at 16,000 KES, I paid 4,000 KES school fees for my children, bought a sack of maize at 4,000 KES and the remaining 20,000 KES I have saved to pay laborers who will build my house.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have paid my wife's dowry and also I will soon build a big house as compared to the one I am living.All this would not have happened without the transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has brought alot of changes in our community through cash transfer and leaving recipients to prioritize their needs. I have not seen anything that GD did not do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying 2 cows to pay dowry for my wife, bought school requirements for my 3 children and bought iron sheets and a steel door which I will use in building my new house.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have a wife whose bride pride is fully paid, thus I am respected by my in-laws.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use part of the money to build my own house since l do not have a shelter. Secondly l would wish to pay dowry to my wife so that she can be back. Finally l would like to open up a business to generate income to sustain my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that l have struggled to take my children to school.

My biggest hardship in life is low source of income to put up a shelter.
