How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Even though, I do not have a proper place to live, but I also didn't have the goal to build a house because of the lack of money. I made the decision to build a when GiveDirectly gave me money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The help GiveDirectly gave is very shows that they are doing a great job. I didn't have the thought of building a house but I am now building a house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my transfer, I bought zinc, cement to build a new house and I use the rest of the money to pay my daughter's tuition at school.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I plan to do with the cash is to go back to school and build a 2 room house for my spouse and me. Seeing my peers furthering their education makes me feel devastated and consider myself a failure. Furthermore, my spouse and I are currently homeless because of the lack of money to build a house of our own. Receiving this cash will allow us to build a house which I feel will add value to us as a family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me happiness over the past 6 months is when I celebrated my birthday on October 22, 2021. On this day, I was first happy that God allow me to complete another year of earthly existence. I also felt very proud of how friends from far and near grace my birthday event. We share fun and regularised our friendship status as well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I am currently facing is the lack of money to extend my educational life, build a house of my own. Elders and chiefs of Big Geveh town have allowed my spouse and me to be squatting in a house that was built for rice mill machines because of our homeless status. The lack of money has also caused me not to continue school which makes me feel like I am a failure.
