How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Alex Pewee from Dogbah town, Bomi county Liberia. Since I started receiving cash transfer from Givedirectly, I planned to renovate my house and focus to payment of my four children school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I always receiving cash transfer from Givedirectly according to schedule. This organization doesn't accept gifts from people and they are trustworthy in performing their duties.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought five bags of cement, two bundles of zinc and did payment of my children's balance tuition for this semester.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I planned to buy four bags of cement and two bundles of zinc for renovation of my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedrectly is very committed in transferring money to my mobile account according to schedule. I am not aware of anything that Givedrectly has not done well in my village. I am so excited and want to extend thanks to those that have contributed in helping me move from one level to another.

Upon cashing out my money, I bought two bundles of zinc and four bags of cement.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy because things were not going well with me at that time in terms of how my family could find a daily living
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
We were used to make farm and burnt coal for living for many years, but when Givedirect came and started to support us cash assistance,we are now experiencing some levels of changes in our living conditions

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Three years ago I was actively into business, but my hand wend down due to family issues. I will invest in rubber business. My children are not in school this semester, I will also pay their tuitions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Well, although there are lot of challenges, but I am grateful for my life and my family. We are all counted among the living.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In 2018, I went through operation, and I was advised not to do hard work. It is a real problem for me now, my family are depending on me for their well being. I sometimes try to do farming, but can't. I am really frustrated about the situation.
