Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received transfers from Give Directly I felt so happy. I knew indeed the dream of constructing a house for my children shall come true. I was over joyed as I had never gotten such an amount before.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I managed to construct a house for my children and they have a good place to sleep and to study as well. I am now a happy parent and honored because am better off than how I use to be before and I feel this brings the difference in my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my first transfers on buying a heifer. I bought a heifer because I needed one so that I would have some milk for use at home. I then spent the other portion on buying building materials for constructing a house for my son and food for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money I will buy a dairy cow for around 300 USD. I have always wished to own one.Dairy farming works well in our region. With the milk that I get from the cow I will be able to sell some to help me cater for the basic needs. What remains will be for consumption. This will reduce my expenses since I am used to buying milk for my children. I will then invest part of the money that I will receive to crop farming. I have a half an acre of land for cultivation and sometimes I do not have enough money to farm and buy hybrid seeds.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is because at this time I have my children around.I always feel safe and contented when they are close to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am epileptic.I have lived with this condition since I was young. This condition even cost me my marriage. I was married but had to come back home. My husband never took good care of me. He did not allow me to seek medication at the hospital. I had to come back to my parents land with my 4 children since my condition was getting worse. That was 10 years ago. I spend 6 USD every month to get cheap medicine to suppress my condition. It has been very tough on me .
