Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My family and I were so happy the moment we received this transfer. I just do not know how I can express my gratitude and happiness with words. As a family we lacked a lot of things including a proper house and beddings so this was a great relief for all of us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This money will change a lot from helping me complete my new house to improving the overall welfare of the household members. I was dreading how hard I was supposed to work to get the required funds for the house while at the same time supporting the family but with this, I have enough for the house and family so any excess income is going to be used to improve the welfare of the entire household. My wife, two children and I will definitely have a comfortable life going forth.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am planning on spending the money on completing my unfinished house. My current house is too small and it was made out of made out of unburnt bricks and the roof has grass. So I already started building a new house but I could not finish it due to lack of funds. I am also thinking of purchasing proper beddings and at least a few livestock to remember the program after it is completed.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
All my life, I have been desiring to build a house. I am grateful that I have been considered in this program. I will use the money to build a house which will be bigger than this one. I will also use the money to buy beddings. The remaining part of the money will be used to support the academic life of my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always a happy person during the time of harvest. It's the time I make money by selling some of my produce.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The sleeping place is not comfortable. The house is very small and it's a challenge.
