Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My husband and I were home when we heard an SMS ring alert. I checked and it was GD's transfer. We screamed of joy and it felt like a dream because I had never been in possession of such a big amount of money. We had tried to build a house in the past but it was unsuccessful because it fell down after just a few days. We could not afford to buy the appropriate construction tools before receiving the GD transfer but we now have a house that is standing strong and we were able to buy 2 goats all thanks to God. We thank GD for keeping their promise.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I thanked the lord after receiving this transfer. On a normal day, you would find me working in the fields for a living. I normally roughly get 1.5 $ daily and that is the money I use to sustain my family. I could not think of carrying out any other activities because I could not save any money. After receiving the grant, I am able to think and shape my idea of owning a farm and I can see my family living a better life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I receied the first transfer, I wanted too own livestock but also needed a house. I bought 2 goats worth 90 $, spent 65 $ to keep my construction activities going, bought a bed worth 35 $, paid 6 $ for my family's health insurance, bought food and home utensils for 60 $ and 30 $ respectively. I was in real need of the goats because I have dreams of owning a big farm.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I plan to rebuild the house and put metal sheets, cements and others using 250$. We will buy foods of 100$ as well because these days, we did not get enough harvest from our farms. We are required to go on the markets to buy food. We will again buy a cow of 300$. As we care about our health and I am pregnant due in two months, We will also pay health insurance of 6$. The remaining amount will be in the saving group.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am grateful for being alive and healthy. Moreover, when I live in harmony with the community members, I am always happy for that
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I have now is that we live in a small house because we are poor. In addition to that we do not have enough materials that we need especially bedsheets , mattress and kitchen materials.
