How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I have new goals that I did not have before receiving this transfer. My new goal is to build a house. At the moment I am staying in a very small house, the house has no rooms which is hard for use as I have three children. We separated the house with a cloth to make a bedroom. I haven't been able to build a better house because I have no job. The new house I am planning to build will have a roof made of iron sheets and not strolls this ways we leaving comfortable in the house even during the rainy season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD is doing well by reaching out to the poor with cash transfers directly. The money reaches the recipients directly. If the money wasn't given directly to the recipient the would have been alot of fraud cases and some recipient would have been left out on the program . GD is doing well by making people happy
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my recent transfer on food for my family and fertilizer. I have bought fertilizer because I have a land where I do my farming. Last year I was unable to do my farming because I had no money to buy fertilizer. I also used the money to buy building materials for my house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was super excited when i received the transfer message i couldn't believe it because it was my first time hundleling that kind of money and I'm so grateful.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
To be honest I'm very grateful and receive my heartfelt gratitude for giving me this kind of cash,as I'm talking to you everything has changed on our household, starting from our eating schedule and sleeping place. We mostly eat once a day but I'm glad to announce that it is now history as we are able to provide our selves with atleast three meals a day. I'm always happy when going to bed because i know I'm sleeping on a comfortable matress with proper beddings,we have been in poverty for a long time we couldn't even a fford a rapper by then but to day our story is totally difference.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have used this first transfer to buy food and i bought three bags pf maize to be precise,I then thought of my sleeping place because i used to have very shabby beddings since it has been 20 years ever since i started using them,so i bought a Matress and two blankets. I have been living in a hut made of mud bricks and with a dirty flow, when i hundled the cash i knew it right away that was my queue to actually transform my house, for a start i have bought bricks and ronsheet, I'm actually waiting for my second transfer to actually start with the house building since it is a long process that needs a lot of money.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money from Givedirectly will bring a lot of change and development on my household. I will build a new house, buy enough food and clothing for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months I can point out that my life was better when I had harvested and sold rice from the farm. I was generally a happy person during that period.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Recently the main challenge in my life is to provide enough food for my family. Sometimes we reach a point of skipping meals.
