Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting at home when my neighbor told me to go hang my phone at the network area in the town, because her phone was hung there and she received message from Givedirectly. I ran at the spot and hang my phone on the rope; I got an alert after few minutes. I read the message and saw the money in my phone. This made me very excited; I got on my knees and started praising God saying, Givedirectly thank you!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The money has changed my mindset because I had given up on becoming an educated person in society due to lack of financial support. I stopped believing in myself lately. But seeing this help coming from Givedirectly, my Hope's have been renewed and I am very confident now. This money will be able to put me on the path to elevate my family because I was blessed through Givedirectly and my family will be blessed through me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am waiting for my next transfer and my WASSCE result to do my registration at the nursing school in Monrovia. It is my dream to be a nurse because my parents and my child get sick too often and they spend a lot of money on treatment. I want to be a nurse to reduce the cost on my family's health expenditures and to also make my dream come through.
