Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was too happy when I received this money. At first, I doubted it that GiveDirectly sent the money in my phone. I was wondering about building a house, to do a charcoal business and engage into garden business as well. But where to get the income from was my biggest challenge.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life is improving on a daily basis since I received this money. I will soon become a house owner. I have started the charcoal production process and my garden as well. I thank God for taking me to another level through GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my money to buy two bundles of zinc for my new house that I'm intending to build. I bought gasoline and paid workmanship for the charcoal production and I bought some farming materials including seedings and tools for my garden.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I received this money, I will use some to reconditioned my house and use the balance to start a business in order to sustained my family which will bring will bring me so much joy. Although I make farm to cater for my family but the money I earned from the farm, is what I spend on food. I send my children to live with some of my relatives in Monrovia because, the money I earned from farm cannot maintained all of them. The structure I live in is a thatch structure. When the rain starts to fall, the structure begins to leak and it damaged some of my belongings. I want to buy zinc and roof my house with it but there's no money. If I received this money I will roof my and start a business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me joy or happiness is when my son called me in the month of May 2021 to tell me that one of his friends voluteeer to pay his school fees, I was so happy, I started thanking God for what he did for my son because I'm unable to pay my son fees and the fact that someone I know from no where came and voluteeer to help my son Pay his fees brought me so much joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardships I am facing now is money. My house is damaged and I have been living in this damaged house for the past five years and I am very uncomfortable with this kind of condition I am in. Eventhough I am making farm to sustain myself but the money I earned from the farm is not enough to maintain my family. Some times I fix garie in order to provide food for my family. I will really appreciate any help I can get to improve my livelihood.
