How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first goal was to buy a freezer and a generator so that I can start a cold water business in my town, I was able to buy those materials and my goal was achieved; my new goal is to rebuild the house that I'm living in right now. Since my business is growing and generating profit, I believe that I can make my new goal come to pass very soon and all thanks go to GiveDirectly who has given me this opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us in an unconditionally way which I haven't seen since I was born, this program has changed my life for the better and I am grateful, they are also kind and patient with recipients during interviews. I don't have anything that I noticed wrong about GiveDirectly, they are doing everything well.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My name is Boimah Kiazolu from Wolakoi Town, Bomi County, Liberia. I was over happy and astonished when I saw the cash transfer on my phone. Moreover, this had been my first time to see such program in my community in Liberia.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This first cash had made a big positive impact toward my home expenses by giving me bundles of zinc sheet at once for my house renovation work and at the same time made me to paid my children school fees and had put enough food on my family's table as well
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My current cash was used to registered my kids in school, bought two (2) bundles of zinc sheet to renovate my existing house. I had a plan to produce charcoal to undertake those expenses, but for the past many years I have not been able to earn money from the production that will afford me cover the expenses in the home and at the same time renovate my house. This had been the delay in my project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this money from Givedirectly, I intend to renovate our house by changing the zincs. All of the zincs are corroded and I have not been able to raise enough funds to change it. The house needs at least four bundle of zinc. This has been my biggest praying.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The thing that makes me happy in the last six months is good health.. me and my family had since enjoy a good health since January of this year.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge facing me now is the lack of money. I really need money to change my house roof so that it can't cave in on us. Since the start of the rainy season this year, we have been having leakages all over our house.
