How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Musu, before GD came, I planned to start a new business but could not be realized due to lock of funding. I sell fish from the river but this could not start me a new business. I was enrolled as a recipient on the GD program and received my first transfer. With the first transfer that I received, I was able to start my new business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Firstly, I want to take this time to say a very big thanks to Give Directly for services rendered us during the entire enrollment process. You did a great and excellent job.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy few carton or boxes of soap for my new business, I was also able to buy food for the children and paid their school fees for the year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use some to sell fish so that I can have more money and then the remaining amount will be used to send my children to school and feed them.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My husband has been sick and had been seeking traditional treatment. Fortunately for us, he has recovered and that has brought me joy in the last six months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Right now, it's difficult to get food. We usually go fishing and sell the fish to get money. Now that it is raining heavily and the water is full, it's difficult for us to do so.
