How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed because I was able to acquire a personal sawing machine using my first transfer. This is now helping me to earn a living, cater for my personal needs such as sufficient feeding for my family, educating my children and serving my community. I get personal contracts such as being hired to saw uniforms for schools plus my personal ordinary clients and I am paid.
Before getting my personal sawing machine, I used to just go to other tailors and ask if I could carry out my personal work using their machines and they could take part of my payment making it difficult for me to raise a reasonable amount of money to cater for my needs in the long run.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has enabled me to be fully self employed through acquiring my personal sawing machine and to fulfill my late sister's dream of educating her daughter to the level of completing University level.
However, in my opinion GiveDirectly has done absolutely nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer Ugx 1000000 to pay tuition fees who is in Kyambogo University.
I then bought a cow at Ugx 480000. I used the balance of my transfer to cater for some household needs such as bedding, utensils, among others.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have been able to acquire a sewing machine; which is now generating for me daily income hence improved standard of living.

The moment I received the message of the money, first of all I thanked God for it; and remained very happy to date.
