How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I boosted my business with the finances which I received from GiveDirectly, I have since realize a huge profit. Through this business,I have been able to provide the needs of my family much easier and have some money for saving. Recently, I bought a dairy cow with the savings which I earned from the business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirecly does well by giving us lump sum transfers and the freedom of choice on how to spend the transfers on. This is what I loved the most because everyone has different needs to meet. Our lives have greatly changed and I do not see anything which GiveDirectly never did well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the whole amount which I had received from GiveDirectly as my second on adding stock to my shop. I boosted this venture to enabled me earn more income. The money which I generate from this business has enabled me to cater to my family needs with less struggle.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy the moment I received money from GiveDirectly. I knew that my business was going to improve a great deal from this transfer. Not only was I able to increase stock and rejuvenate my business but I was also ble to pay school fees for my child in time and keep him in school all through the term.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is the payment of school fees and the improvement of my business. This was an assurance that I was going to have my son stay in school for the whole term uninterrupted. I was also able to remain with some amount that allowed me to revive my ailing business and be able to put food on the table for my family like I used to do when my business was doing good. This, I consider are the biggest achievements made with the money received and I am so grateful for the transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used KES 15000 to pay school fees for my son and used the remaining amount to improve my clothes selling business. The money came at a time when I was facing financial difficulties and my child was almost being sent home for lack of school fees. My business was also doing so bad and I was already running at a lose. This transfer enabled me to revive my business and I am now making more profits than I made over the past few days. I also feel proud that I have been able to raise the money needed to pay school fees for my son.
