Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received this money and I began to believe that I'm one of the luckiest person in this town. I thought of produce charcoal to pay our children tuition but I didn't have money to buy gasoline and pay workmanship. I was very happy that I'm going to solve some of my financial problems with this money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There is a great changed in my life as compared to before. At least I have paid three of my children school fees and they are happily in school. I already have two bundles of zinc for my proposed new three bedroom house. I'm patiently waiting on the second transfer to start my house projects.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive money from GiveDirectly, I will build my own house which will bring so much happiness to me I make farm to earn money and cater for my family. The money I earn from the farm is used on food and medication. My dream is to build my own house. The reason I want to build my own house is because the house I live in belongs to my husband's sister. More besides, I want to build my own house for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy in the last six months, is when my husband friend called him in August 2021 and told him that he have a daily higher contract for him to do for two weeks, I was so happy because my husband was not doing anything more besides, he couldn't afford to feed his children and I. We have to begged family members before we can eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm facing now is money. I want to build a house which will bring joy to my family but I don't have the money to start the process. Although I make farm to sustain my family but the money I earn from the farm, I use some to buy food and use the balance for medication. I feel bad seeing myself in my husband's sister house bring lots of confusion between us.
