How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before GiveDirectly came in my village I was a farmer and still a farmer but with the help of received from them I am now in the posotion to build my new house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion the help I received from give directly was timely because with that i was able to complete my house so they did very well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My last transfer was used to buy plank, zinc and nails to complete my building in Jarkaken.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I'm a widow living in this community along with my little son. Since I lost my husband approximately some twenty six years ago, I have been living in this town trying to struggle for my children and my self, with the help of other family members and relatives. Things became more difficult for me when I lost my first son in July 2020 because he was the one helping me and his siblings but since he died, everything had turned out to be very difficult. However, if I am successfully enrolled in to Give Directly's Cash transfer program, I want to use some of the money to renovate my house that was built in Jarkaken by my late husband and I when he was alive. I want to renovate the house for my children because I am aging everyday and I believe when the renovation is done, it will help my children when I am no more(dead) especially my last born who is still struggling for education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months, I haven't experienced anything like happiness or joy because since I lost my son who was my strong hold (helper), everything else especially financial support had stop working for me. Since he died, when it is July I always feel very sad, knowing that it was in the month of July that he died. As we even speak presently, I'm feeling very bad to talk about my son's death, because of the many constraints that I'm currently faced with.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm currently facing several challenges but the most of all is the lack of financial support for my up keeping. Since I lost my husband some twenty six years ago, thaings haven't been easy for me and my children as a single mother (Widow). The worst of it all was when I lost my first son in July ,2020, everything became more difficult because he was the only big child that I had helping me and his siblings but since he died, everything had turned out to be very difficult for me.
