What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school for my child who is in high school 5000 KES. I also bought three roomed kitchen and now I have a place to cook and a sleeping place for my children too.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that paying school fees for my child who is in the university for two semesters consecutively was really amazing since I have never done some thing like this before and now it gives me joy seeing him in school studying. Having built a kitchen too and now my children have a comfortable place to sleep in especially my sons its a great relieved hence thanks to GiveDirectly for everything.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well by giving my directly to individual households through their Mpesa account and this reduced the high chance of their money being stolen and insecurities to the beneficiaries as well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the whole of the second transfer to pay fee arrears for my children who are in secondary school and collage, when they were almost dropping out of school because l could not manage to raise their school fee.

I spent my first transfer on buying a half a bag of maize and paying school fees for my two children
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received the cash because during that time my children had already been sent home for fee, this gave me hope for paying school fees for them and seeing them through education

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children as one of them is in university, I will spend part of the transfer on starting a chicken business and the remaining amount I will spend on finishing the construction of my house as some rooms as still not ready for use.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that I am proudest of is that I have been able to take my children to school even though through hardship after the death of my husband. This I have managed through my farm business and microfinance loans.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that my income is very low and it is tough for me to manage paying for their school fees and to get them food to eat.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I go to my farm to plough it. This makes me happy as when I finally harvest the crops, I am able to get cash that I use to support my family.
