Yes, I have added another plan to my previous planned. That is, to buy matress for my room. . My previous planned was to build a new house and pay my children's school fees. But now, the matress that I'm sleeping on is damaged so I have decided to buy one.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in the bush hauling my coal sticks when I heard this strange noise in the town. I ran back home to inquire what had happened, I met the town people happily running around jubilating in Givedirectly's name. I asked a trusted person to check my account and my message was there. Oh my God; I was overly excited. I like noise, so it was not easy that day; I shouted with joy from morning to night as a sign of happiness. I will not forget that day, the day Givedirectly changed my condition from suffering to better life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference the money has made in my life is that my suffering has been reduced. My right big toe is crippled today because of the hard work I did to pay my children's fees, I don't have to strain myself anymore. I have much peace and rest now knowing that this money transfer will change my life in starting a business to sustain my family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used part of the money on four of my children's tuition. I bought two bundles of zinc to build my own house because I have been in my brother's house for over 15 years. I also bought seeds to make my farm. Little food was bought for my children's upkeep.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I am planning to do with the cash is to fulfil my dream of building a decent and spacious house that can accommodate my children and me. Since in fact, we are currently living in a house that is not spacious and old. I am also planning to pay my children school fees which have been a serious challenge for me for the past years. We barely have the cash to pay school fees and do other things because we are surviving through the burning of charcoal which doesn't yield more money for my household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me happiness over the last 6 months is, after struggling through charcoal burning which I use the money to pay school fees for my son that is living with my sister in Monrovia. Seeing him coming home last month, with his report card stating that he make a pass to the next class made me feel proud as a parent.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The current challenge I am facing is the lack of adequate finance. This has caused my family and me to burn charcoal before eating and also use some of the money to pay school fees. When the charcoal is being carried to Monrovia by traders on credit, they delay bringing back the money. With this, some of my children have to drop from school and also making us continue living in a house that isn't spacious. This has brought shame to me as head of the household.
