Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I came from the diamond creek and met the community people jubilating about the money Givedirectly sent. I went along with my aunty Bomba to check my phone and I saw my money in my account. I was overwhelmed; I thanked Givedirectly in my vernacular the entire day. Givedirectly has changed my life by sending me such a huge amount of money. I am happy.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I received this cash grant, I will engage in a short term and a long term plans. I have not had the means of building a decent shelter for my family. The short term plan will be to transform my house from mud to a modern structure while the long term plan will be increasing my palm oil plantations. The plantation will empower the family as the children grow up and sustain their education and well being.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happy time started from the end of August, 2021 till now. During this time, our rice is ready for harvesting as such, enough food is available and all members of the family can be happy. Our efforts behind the farming activities are realized during this time base on the quantity of yield produced. Once we can gather enough food and even sell some for a short period of time to settle other needs of the family, it really makes us happy as family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The hardship I am facing now is financial hardship. Due to lack of employment/employment, no money to provide sufficient daily meal for the family and even take care of other needs. Even the farm we make can't sustain us yet, we still have to sell some of the products during harvest time to settle other family needs. We sustain by producing fire coal and gathering wild palm for production until harvest time.
