How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because through cash transfers, I managed to pay fees for my 3 children who are in secondary level on time as opposed to when they could not write examinations because I failed to pay school fees. In addition, I'm confident that soon I will be sleeping in a permanent house. I made this a decision to build this permanent house because I used to always suffer looking for grass to renovate my thatched house which could leak during rainy seasons.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly had done well by giving me money which has enabled me build a permanent house and pay schools for my 3 three children who are in secondary level. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought building materials ( iron sheets and bricks), household goods( mattress and a bed), rented farm land, bought food ( cassava flour, sugar and salt) and saved.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will renovate my house because it is not looking good at the moment. I don't have a decent kitchen apparently so I will build a simple structure with ironsheets to act as my kitchen. I will also buy bulls that will help in agriculture and livestock raising. This bulls will help me save money that I have been spending on hiring ploughing services.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I'm free and ready for supper. It is the time I also go to bed.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is illness. I have kidney related problems that I have spent alot of money treating it.
