Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a special moment for me when I got my first transfer from GiveDirectly. It is something that has never happened to my life, that is receiving money for free. I was over the moon at the time when I saw an alert that the cash grant was finally in my Airtel Money account.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life brought about by this transfer is that Iam now food secure and Iam sure next year I will also be able to have enough food because I will apply enough fertilizer in my field as I have already bought enough bags of fertilizer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Well, soon after I received this transfer from GiveDirectly, I did not hesitate but to go town and buy iron sheets and cement. Until now, I do not have a proper house. With this transfer however, Iam hopeful that I will have one in the near future. Iam therefore grateful to GD for this financial support.

Receiving this money means so much to me,I'm really excited for getting enrolled in the programme.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during evening hours,generally I'm always happy that I'm going to sleep because thats when i forget most of my problems.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is i don't have a legit source of money ,I'm an old lady and all i relay on is casual labour,with my age it is really challenging to wake up early in the morning and walk long distances in search of casual labour,most times i just sit at home with no food since i can't afford doing this everyday.
