How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is the comfort I am getting when I sleep after I managed to purchase a bed and a good mattress. I had been sleeping on the hard floor on a mat for a long time and this was so uncomfortable. My whole body could ache all the time, I am now having comfortable sleep that sometimes I end up over sleeping. I also have very comfortable furniture that I always admire in my neighbor's house, I no longer take seats from the church as I used to do before.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did a good think by full filing their promised because most of the NGOs always roll a programme in the village and they always fail to implement. It was also another good idea of not involving government in this program because it could have failed being that government is a corrupt body.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to buy funiture, since I used to admire some nice furniture at my neighbor's house but I could not manage to buy since I did not have stable source of income. I was sitting on a very old generation and very uncomfortable seat that were being used by our forefathers, I was feeling so embarrassed when I had visitors. I would go to the church near us and get seats there being that I am the church elder, I could access the seats easy without being question . Since I bought furniture I am very proud of hosting visitors in my house very comfortably, I no longer take church's seats anymore. I spent the transfer to pay secondary school fee for my daughter who was sent home for school fees arrears. My daughter has been staying home for sometimes since I was not able to pay for her school fee arrears on time. I thank God Give directly came to my rescue and I managed to pay her school fee and now my daughter is in school learning like other students. I am also able to have a good and comfortable sleep after buying abed and a mattress with the remaining balance. I no longer complain of body aches nor do l wake up during the night because of uncomfortability as compared to before.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I go to my farm to prepare my tomatoe seedbed. This makes me happy because I supply tomatoes to our local market.

Receiving this money means that, I will be able to solve some of my needs and that of my family including clearing school fees for my children and invest on my tomatoe farm.
