Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was generally very happy and excited
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is the ease of travelling made possible by GD funds with which I bought a bicycle
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my transfer I bought iron sheets which I intend to use on my new house. I also bought a mattress, maize, blankets, and a bicycle. I bought the bicycle to ease my movements to and from places. For instance, my maize field is very far from where I reside so this bicycle will help me get there easily and fast

What does receiving this money mean to you?
As a husband who has a large family, i have always had plans to buld a good and comfortable house. Although, I usually visit the lake to do casual labour for fishermen, I don't earn much to own one. This money will now enable me to build the house and live comfortably with my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when i cook breakfast for my husband and kids. I am always happy knowing my kids have eaten and they have good energy and positivity for the day either at home or at school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We are always food insecure. Despite working hard to find money and buy maize flour as well as relish for each day, I happen to have many children who rely on me for everything. Hence, the little I earn at the lake is never enough to sustain us even for a week.
