How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I have a new goal, and that is to build a house on my own. Since the death of my husband, his family abounded us and our house broke down thus causing an assigned Pastor for the Church am attending in our town to give me a room. Thanks to Give Directly am about to build a house of mine own.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly assist people have a better living status in life, but they don't accept gifts from the town's they work in.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited when the transfer hit my account. I have been sick for a year now. My source of income is farming. I am living in my neighbor house. When I received my first transfer, I decided to build my own house to live in.

I was never dreaming of owing a house. Givedirectly has put me in the position of building a house for myself.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" My husband die few years ago and his family told me to marry his oldest brother but his wife refused. After few months they told me to leave their house and i didn't have anywhere to go to so my pastor took me in his house. If eligible I will build my own house. The remaining money will be invested in business. "
What is the happiest part of your day?
" One thing that brought so much happiness was, when my husband die and I didn't have anywhere to go and my pastor ask me to live in his house as long as I wish it brought so much happiness in my life, because I was neglected some how my people I trusted. "
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" Since the death of my husband life had been very difficult. No one to aid me,I have to make little portions of farm just to sustain my self. Getting food had also been challenging. "
