How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am a father of five children and a visually impaired person.Since I met my wife we have been living in her family house. This condition makes me feel so much embarrassed. Additionally, we struggled to make our living. Since I'm not able to see, I stayed home all day while my wife do the farming activities. It has always been my prayer to build a very big house where my children can have enough and comfortable sleep. When I encountered GiveDirectly and they enroll me and promised to send me cash for four months, My wife and I was so happy. We planned to build our own house since I already had a plot of land that was gifted to me by my late mother. With the help of GiveDirectly financial assistance my prayers have been answered. We have completed the purchased of three bundles of roofing sheets a cartoon of nails and planks and we are awaiting the contractor to start the elevation work. I am so much thankful to GiveDirectly for helping me in such a difficult time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is doing well for poor people, As an organization their idea of helping poor people is so amazing and they should continue to help low income families.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
After my house broke down, my mother inlaw has been hosting me and my wife and honestly, it has been a long time. My only goal is to build a house for my family so I can free up her place.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Nobody will say any bad thing about GiveDirectly. In my opinion, this is the best organisation in our country. They talk to us nicely and give us unconditional transfers to better our lives.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My most recent transfers were spent on buying building materials including zinc, nails and cement. I have also used some part of it to pay for roofing wood and to pay the contractors who will do the work.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Building our own two rooms house has become our new goal since we started receiving the cash transfer from Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I believe that Give Directly has not left their track in assisting people. They're doing extremely well in Liberia and other countries, but they don't accept gifts from communities they work in. I feel that it's their policy, and they live by it.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
We bought one bundle of zinc, and saved the balance cash transfer to buy planks for our house project. Thanks so much to Give Directly.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
People started getting their money in my community but I didn't get mine the first day, it made me feel sad at first but I still had hope. We went to bed the same night without getting our transfer but as early as cock-crow the next morning, i was awaken by the noise in my neighbourhood that others have started receiving theirs. I got out of bed and went to the network spot in our community and right away, my alert came. It was something extraordinary for me. I hurriedly came home to announce the good news to my wife. We all felt like royalty knowing that such huge sum was in our possession and ours.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I'm now a proud man and my children's future is secure to some extent. What would've happened if I pass on living in my in-laws' house? What would become of my children? Now GiveDirectly has answered all these questions. I'm now certain of atleast leaving them a house to live in.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I plan to build my two room house and furnish it. I already had a land before GiveDirectly came so developing it is my major concern. I currently live in my wife's parents house and as a man, i don't really feel good being here. We have agreed and in the soonest possible time, we will be out of here.
