Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The big difference I have got in life is that I have completed the construction of a pit latrine. I now take milk from the cow that I bought with the money and I feed well. Previously, I was using the neighbour's pit latrine which was a distance a way from home. I have not been taking milk because I could not afford.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The day I received the money, I felt so happy. I ate well (meat and rice) and slept well because my mind was at peace.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought a cow at UGX 1,100,000, I have saved UGX 200,000 and the balance was used to complete the construction of a pit latrine.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means owning oxen for animal traction. It is very expensive to hire tractors and owning oxen becomes the best alternative. In case of any balance, I will spend it for purchasing food and paying school fees g my grand children. I hire oxen currently but it's not the best way out of poverty. The little income that I would have spent on feeding is spent on hiring oxen which leaves me in cyclical poverty and the act of leaving from hand to mouth is the worst.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in tr noon time after eating lunch. That gives me hope for the next day because, it's difficult to find what to eat at the moment. We have just started harvesting food from the garden but there is need to find some money to help sort other household needs like treatment, other non cultivated food stuffs, to mention.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is poor hygiene and sanitation. I do not have a complete pit latrine which comes with diseases that are affecting household members frequently. I desire to complete constructing a descent pit latrine but due to my old age and disability, I can not do it on my own. My source of income is from farming which is not reliable due to floods and drought which come intermittently.
