Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My house has completely changed, since they completed plastering it. It is now dust free, spacious enough in case of any visitors and it is very beautiful. Before, the floor and the wall of my house was rough and dusty. It had holes on the wall that the bats could use to enter into the house and the smell was really terrible as bats urinated and defecated inside. I am very grateful to GiveDirectly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received money, I felt too much happiness in my heart. I raised my hands up to thank God for this finacial support which was going to help me plaster my house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I am currently spending my first transfer for plastering and cementing my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to complete the construction of my house. I sold livestock that my late husband left me with in order to raise money for a house construction. However, I was not able to complete it because the money was not enough. This chance will be an opportunity for me to fully work on my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the noon time when I am playing with my grandchildren. I love playing with them.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money. I sleep in an incomplete house because I don't have money to complete the construction. I sold all the livestock that my late husband left me with but still the money raised was not enough. Now I am left with nothing. I depend on agriculture for survival.
