What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful for Give Directly Cash transfer program, I plan to start a business inorder to sustain myself and my family .
I started making a good business when I was in Cape Mount in 1987 taking care of my family and other relatives. But later in 2004 things began very difficult for me to an extent that I couldn't maintain the business any longer.
The business I was making collapse and I had to come back to my home town and start a new life by making farm in order to sustain us.
Although I make farm to sustain my family but the money I earn from the farm is not enough to maintain the entire family; this alone has got me dissatisfied especially with our living conditions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness is when I receive a call from my sister husband in the month of April that my sister is well by the help of God it brought me so much joy and happiness because carrying her to Ghana to take treatment make my business to collapse so I was too happy to hear that she's well by the help of God.
Eventhough I don't have enough money to start a business and maintain my family but I am very happy seeing my family and I alive and healthy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardships I am facing now is money.
Since my business collapse in November 2004 due to my sister illness, I haven't had any means of getting money to start a new business.
The money I earn from the farm I make is use on food and at times the farm I make I don't realized anything from it. Because of that I can't even afford food for myself and my family.
