When I was first enrolled in GiveDirectly's program, my original plan was to use my transfer in buying materials for building a new house. Upon completing that goal, I came up with an additional goal of buying goats. Goats generally grow and reproduce faster thus from them, I shall raise a large heard which will not only serve as my asset, but will be in handy whenever I need some urgent money. From the heard of goats, I look forward to struggle less in raising school fees for my school going children.

I spent my most recent transfer to buy additional building materials worth KES 7000 that I shall use to build a new and better house. I have been living in an old and small leaking house. I spent KES 28,000 to purchase building materials including 22 iron sheets, 80 buildings poles, nails and timbers. I also set aside KES 6500 for payment of labor charges. I used spent KES 2000 to clear the fee arrears for my two children who are still in primary school. They had been sent home due to school fees balance the same day I withdraw the transfer. I invested the remaining amount goats rearing by purchasing one goat. Lastly, I bought enough food for the family.
