How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because GiveDirectly has given me a financial boost and harmonized family by making my wife settle. This has brought me happiness. Before, I was drained financially by the health problem of my child to extent of selling personal items and my wife was not willing to settle with me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving money directly that has enabled people build iron sheet roofed houses, acquire household items like mattresses, land and livestock which have raised livelihood in homes. It hasn't done well in leaving out disabled old age persons who are in care of their children but those children are not helpful to them after receiving transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was spent to buy a cow, building materials such as cement and iron sheets, spent some to meet cost of burning building bricks, and hired cultivation land.
