How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I had desired to complete my house project and move in with my family. I also wanted to buy mattress for my family. Hence, as soon as I received my transfer, I bought 8 bags of cement to plaster my house. Furthermore, I bought 1 big mattress for my room and a smaller mattress to be placed in my children's room. GiveDirectly has become a huge blessing to my family. I am thankful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly, through this program, has given hope to extremely poor people like us. Moreover, GD has been honest in delivering cash to poor people like us. I have not seen anything that GiveDirectly has not been doing well thus far.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I needed to complete my house project by plastering the walls and putting a smooth floor within the entire house. Therefore, portion of my transfer was used to buy 8 bags of cement to plaster my house. The remaining portion of my money was used to buy 2 mattresses for my children and I to relax at night. I am very much delighted to be part of this unique project that has helped changed my life.
